Another good one. I've been posting stuff like this on my Facebook page to discourage people from inviting me to weddings, graduations, picnics, parties, funerals, etc. One of the many reasons I hate summer.

This is my face when people say "Join a band!"
If I wanted to play Top 40 or Bluegrass, I could join a band tomorrow.

I can't play w/o everyone leaving the room. The other night we had 15 minutes to kill before Seal Team came on, so I got the bass off the wall & the next thing I know the room is empty.

It's amazing whenever I start playing my dog leaves the room even when I'm using headphones at first I thought it was funny now not so much.

Hey, you can bounce higher jumping on a couch (until it breaks) than jumping on a stage.

....Combine that with I'm burned out on the bar band scene, and packing up gear at midnight in dodgy neighborhoods with poor lighting, and beer comps in lieu of pay, and drama queens for band mates, and wedding venues, and outdoor festivals in 100 degree weather, and sound guys with an attitude, ... and yes, I could go on, but you get the picture.

These days, I'm in it for the fun, and all those things above just seem to suck the fun right out of the experience. Lone wolf or an occasional informal jam session is all I need to make me smile.
