Difference between "involved" and "committed"...like ham and eggs... the chicken is involved; the pig is committed.

Pigs are intelligent, inquisitive animals. If they have psychological issues they can be helped with 1:1 or group therapy - they certainly don't need to be committed.

OTOH they can be indiscriminate eaters. A farmer friend once told me of a farmer who fell into a pig pen - all they found were his rubber boots. Maybe they'd like a burger and pancake diet.

When I was young, there was a local story about a lost Amish man who's shoes were found outside of a large pig pen. Everyone thought he'd fallen in and was devoured. A year later, he turned back up, at his old home, after being turned down by a local college for not having a birth certificate or state issued ID. It seems he faked his own death to leave the family way of life, only to decide that civilization wasn't very civilized.

Tomorrow is the PA/DJ gig for the young 3 piece. The birdies in grapevine are telling me some people are not happy that I volunteered my services. Those unhappy people are exactly the one person I was hoping to make not my friend, by "clock blocking" him. That's a term I usually hear at work when some senior employees get together to ensure that a younger, not well like or respected, employee can't get any overtime. Anyway, I'm kind of hoping that this unpleasant fellow shows up to watch his nephew rock out, so I can turn the tables and give him a bunch of undue credit in front of an audience, which he will certainly not be equipped to handle on the spot. Kind of like how Teddy Roosevelt handled a situation when there was a protest parade for his enforcement of Sunday drinking laws in his early career. Or was it pub closings? I don't remember the specifics, but he did an unpopular law enforcement thing, there was a protest, and he acted like it was parade in his honor and turned the public eye in his favor.
In other BigStringBenderland news, my 18 yr old grand daughter has officially moved in. That in itself is no cause for alarm, but this house has only one bathroom, and I am now the only male in it. Hopefully, construction of my new garage will be commencing very shortly! A little insulation, a ventless heater, a cot, a CD player, and a bucket, I'll be just fine. Then I'll wait for them to go to bed, sneak in and turn some knobs to the right (oooh hoo hoo hoo mu ah ha ha ha). That was my evil laugh, if'n you were wondering.
But life is what it is and its better than the alternative. Mediocre on, my friends!!

A farmer has treated her herd of dairy cows to a live jazz band in the hope the music will boost milk production.

“One of them called Peggy loved it, she stayed right at the fence for the entire performance.”
