This bass is still very much a custom build for him. He cut my pick guard himself. Hopefully now it's on his websight he will turn them out faster. I waited a long time for mine as well. Can't wait to see the "green machine!"

I've heard people disliking mike's headstock before. Doesn't bother me. I just reach up there and get em in tune and then start smiling at my amazing basses. If anything, they might be a bit understated, but I think they have a refined look. Not trying to be anything other than perfectly utilitarian as compared to fenders sideways upright bass scroll look. NOT that there is anything wrong with that iconic design! You ever check out a James Tyler headstock before? That's ugly!!! just sayin. :)

Beautiful.. and LOVE that finish too. I wonder what these would look like without a pick guard. PJ5 is my next order from Mike. Love the 24 fret option.

Really digging this bass so far. Great tone, comfortable weight, especially compared to my SR5, and just very easy and comfortable to play. Still getting used to the 35" scale - feels like just the distance between the nut and first fret is a bit more, but I have relatively large hands so it's not problematic at all. I'll be gigging it on Saturday and report back.

Does anyone know, are the serial numbers consecutive?

controls are as follows:

Vol/Vol
Stack 1 (top tone control, bottom MID control)
Stack 2 (top treble, bottom bass)
switch 1 (act/pass switch - tone still works in passive mode)
switch 2 (3-band select MID switch) Bart 918 electronics

I haven't played one but that seems logical. I'd like to try one of his 34s.
