All recorded with a Lull
Cheers

Thank You Mark...That means a lot when fellow players dig it.Just bought a digital copy of the album, Tony! Fantastic!!![]()
Just received this beastly P. It's a UP4 from 2008 with anodized pickguard. Can't find the specs anymore on Mike's website, but I believe the difference with the P4 is that this has the pre-CBS specs and neck radius.
I played a wonderful Lull V4 for years, but lately I only play Precisions in my band, so when selling the V4, someone offered me this as a trade. Very happy with the deal. The wide neck takes some getting used with it's 44 mm nut, but the neck feels wonderful and the playability is excellent. The sound is absolutely great. Very deep articulate P growl, and a rich tone. Amazing from such a light bass. This feels so much better than the Fender American vintage basses I've tried.

I have a T5 too, and love the thought of an oversized one - but I'm nowhere near 6 feet tall so that would probably just make me look like a little kid, ha! Congrats!
Been a while but had to share the greatness of the man-mike lull- custom build T5 20% upsized. Satin ice blue metallic- 10.6 lbs of mahogany... put it up next to my T5 standard lull- puts it in perspective- I'm 6'3" so it's just a dream fit-
Just looks killer Brother...Been a while but had to share the greatness of the man-mike lull- custom build T5 20% upsized. Satin ice blue metallic- 10.6 lbs of mahogany... put it up next to my T5 standard lull- puts it in perspective- I'm 6'3" so it's just a dream fit-

Breathing new life into an unusually bright sounding passive Lull PJ (alder rosewood) buy adding a Nordstrand P and Big Split wired in series with a Nordsrand 2 band pre in series (passing the balance pot).
My black P-J 5:I've tried numerous PJ-5's and I just did not like what I was hearing.. I finally picked up a PJ-5 with an Aguilar P and Dual Coil in the bridge position and I finally love what I'm hearing.. I don't like the P on a 5 by itself and the Dual Coil seems to mellow it out and has more variety of tones for me...
It's a 35" scale- just perfection as far as playability, balance, tone- only the body is larger-I love the reverse headstock on it, and the color.
What is the scale length on that thing? The usual 35"?
I'd believe 37". LOL
Thanks- really loving it- tone wise it's pretty much the same-Just looks killer Brother...
Do they sound different with the over sized body? If I'm not mistaken I believe Mike mentioned a tonal difference with them as well.
The Dual coil or Big Split do add a whole different vibe compared to a J back there I agree.I've tried numerous PJ-5's and I just did not like what I was hearing.. This was my experience as well the one time I played a P4 with a DC in the bridge. The Dual coil or Big Split do add a whole different vibe compared to a J back there I agree.
Whole nutha Monsta
Yes. I remember that piece that Bryan Beller wrote about his storage being broken in to. I don't recall the outcome, however. He is a member here, I think. Maybe send him the link?just double-checking, wasn't one of these stolen? I'm not saying it's this one, but does anyone know the S/N of the one that was stolen?
