The Mike Lull Club Part 4

I can't believe it's already been a year, I'm still not used to the idea. I treasure all of the great basses he built for me.

I feel the same way. I will only add that his legacy is not just the business he built, but also the real and lasting human connections his work has provided all of us as well. If it wasn’t for Mike, I wouldn’t have met some of the coolest people on the entire planet ;)
We will always keep Mike’s love, patience, and exquisite genius in our hearts.
Rest In Peace and Love

It's a 2012 PT4 - Mahogany/Maple/Rosewood/1.5”nut
It plays so fine and I really dig the redonkulously clear and juicy pickups.
I picked it up from one of Mike's dearest friends, and I'm forever grateful

I decided to see what my M5V would look like "naked" so I removed the black pick guard. Now I'm thinking that it might be nice to go with a clear guard. Does anyone have any sources for Lull-friendly pick guard replacements? View attachment 4067069

(following this too! Have a Pearlescent white M5V currently with black guard, looking for a tort and a clear guard also)

oh sweet! yes I shot him an email too, and he sent me onto Pickguardian apparently they do the Lull pickguards.
Will have a look and see what I can do to sort some guards sent over to me across the pond in the UK.
a Lot of love for Lulls from me over here across the pond

Picked up a new V4 at the Lull shop this week. Spencer told me they had an experimental roasted pine body in the works awhile back and I wasn't interested at all. I tried out three new builds and this one sounded so great that I had to have it. Turns out it's that pine body!

G&L did a run of pine-bodied instruments a bunch of years ago. I had several pass through the store, and I thought they sounded great. Love the pink, too!
