From my band's showcase at 12th & Porter in Nashville three weeks ago... My Lull P4 (with Sadowsky flats) running into my REDDI was tonal bliss!

Can I ask you guys a question?? I have a SVT2 and a 8-10....I used to use a mbfusion and a couple neo cabs....both set ups I cant get it past living room level with an active bass before it starts clipping and distorting! is it just me??? whats the secret!?? my passives sound great! as loud as I want!
I hate to have to sell my TC4...I was really starting to like it! but I cant play anywhere with a SVT2 and a 8-10 with that bass? thats messed up!!!

And yes I changed the batteries!

There should be -15db pad button just to the right of the gain knob (on the SVT2) to use with active basses.

This way, it'll also let you match the level of your active instruments to passive ones. If you do this, you won't have a volume difference when you go from one to the other.

If you have the Bart Pre then yes make sure you adjust your internal gain pot.

non pro and aguilar obp-3

I turn the volume gain down like half way and it sounds wonderful at living room playing along with songs level....but if I want any more then that it doesnt matter where I turn up the volume the bass the amp the compressor which I really dont even need....anywhere I turn it up it starts breaking up way too early! I might get a micro head first and try that and see how it is with like a mb800 fusion....before I sell it!
but the passive V4 lull is like bliss with the SVT2 non pro and 8-10!!! I never heard a better rock tone!!

After my last M5V I'm contemplating selling all my 4s but 1 of them.
They are just not getting used.

Anyone else feel like that?

Yes. I keep going back and fourth. I have a couple of 4's that I won't sell (pre EB Stingray and my Lull) but I've though about unloading the rest of them in favor of another 5er or just money since I've got most of my 5 string needs covered.

I have some great playing / sounding 4s...and a decent stable that for the most part are separate tools.
My last M5V is the best playing / sounding 5 string J that I have ever, I mean ever tried or owned...It is now gets most of my work...Just a simple Ash/Maple with Mike's stock components.
