I got my new one from Greg too....

Foderas are really close to prosteels just a bit warmer.....and they last forever! I havent killed a set yet...I change them every few months.....and really didnt have to....only did because I have a ton of them!
DRs always seem dead to me I dont know why...i tried like 5 different kinda and all of them sounded like dead strings!

For roundwound, I like the Prosteels, and EBMM Cobalts.
For flats, I like Sadowsky, DR, and Labella black tapewounds.

Sadowsky flats are my favorite.....I have Labella black tapes on my new Carvin I just traded for and I love them too! they have a really nice tone! I took them off to try some GHS precision flats but then put the black tapes back on...they sounded much better!

I actually bought a set of them for my Carvin......and took them off in 10 minutes! put the labella black tapes back on it.....the TC4 is a jazz.....I am going to try to get used to the TIs...they been sitting in my drawer for a while....
I had labella flex flats on it for a while and the E string is just too weak on the flexs....TIs sound great! maybe I will try the GHS on it....I thought I was a jazz stainless guy....but I am really enjoying Ps with flats lately! I really cant wait for my P4 to be finished! only like 9 more weeks! lol
you know that Carvin is a cheap bass.....but some reason it sounds wonderful! I am seriously hoping my P4 sounds as good....I am sure it will!!! I have my favorite Sadowsky flats waiting for it!!
