Curious if you ever ended up switching. I had the Microtron IV and couldn't really dial in a sound I liked. Ended up selling it but I really wish I tried it with the optomods. A few envelope filters later and I now have the Wonderlove. So far its my favorite filter that I've owned but i have to readjust nearly every parameter when I switch to a different bass.

I didn't. Part of it was getting the MBD2 in the loop to add just a touch of grind, which as a TI Flats devotee, my bass doesn't have as much of. I think the filter needs something extra to grab onto sometimes, and it's working perfectly for what I need now.
I would get a Chromatron to replace it, but I'm in no hurry now.

Hey friend of mine passed away and i inherited his musical equipment and one of the effects pedals is a Mu-Tron phasor 1 but its not working.
the depth and speed knobs ,stomp button, 1/4 inch jack plugs, and the Red power switch are all still inside the unit, they were all taken off thier respective placements.
i plugged the cord in the wall and nothing happened ,the red power switch didnt light up.
the only thing i notice is where the fuse holder is mounted on the pcb or circuit board ,there is a small black wire and a small white wire that come out from the circuit board and both the black and white wires are not soldered to anything but you can tell they both broke away or broke off where they were supposed to be .i thought maybe both were soldered to the red lighted power switch but dont want to assume anything until i hear from someone who has this same Mu-tron phasor 1 and can tell me exactly where to solder View attachment 4397458 those 2 small wires i am attaching 2 picture s of the two wires and hopefully soldering them back where they supposed to be is all it needs in order to work but if it still doesnt turn on or work, where can i take it or send it to have it repaired ?

Got a Micro-Tron IV on the way.
I know it has options for the opto-mod chips inside, but does it also still have the moveable jumper to switch between Tru-Tron and Mu-Tron modes? And if so, does it still have the volume drop from with the Mu-Tron mode that people talked about with the Micro III?

I really like the zvex Mastotron in front of the MuTron III set

The Mastotron sounds good in downsweep and upsweep With the gain at 4-
the MuTron on its own in downsweep at gain 4 doesn’t trigger much but with the Mastotron in front it gets triggered nice!
I have the MuTron in a boss LS2 loop, so if I want to use downsweep without fuzz I can change the Tron gain to 7 and the LS2 volume down to get a downsweep/clean change at the same volume-

Congrats! I've had one for a while now and it really doesn't work for me, unfortunately. I'm keeping it for now, though. It has the true bypass mod, which I wish I hadn't have had done.
I’ve got a Bi-Phase II coming Monday. Can’t wait to run it in stereo.

Hello peoples, I just recieved a Micro-tron III & wanted to compare the preamp options. I read its a simple adjustment from the stock setting Tru-Tron preamp to the og Mu-tron III preamp by pulling up jumper pins & switching them from position 1 & 2 to 3 & 4 but its not obvious to me where those pins are located upon opening the enclosure... do I need to take the pedal apart to flip the circuit board?
