That's the one I use. Really convenient for a DC-Brick user ;). When the bass chorus deluxe came out, I found they sounded quite similar, to my ears anyway.

This provides interesting options: if the micro flanger is too spikey no matter where you put it, you can ditch it and use both chorus pedals, the BCD more on a flangery effect.

I have an MXR bass fuzz deluxe. How are you guys setting your knobs to be heard in the mix as far as the fuzz being heard?? I def get a boost when I kick it on but my fuzz is getting lost in the mix. Do any of you guys stack it with anything? A dist, OD??? The thing sounds great by itself but as soon as I'm in a live setting it gets lost. Although, it sounds pretty wicked with some chorus, flange or octave. Mmmmm mm!

I think you can get it heard w/some tweeking but I feel its real strengths are that it's less heard than felt - more of an undercurrent/depth of tone saturation. As advertised, balancing the dry/wet setting gives the impression of bi-amping a clean and dirty signal (which is why I bought it). You get all that fat articulate bass punch w/smooth, warm fuzz paralleling it. For more more 'edge' I couple it w/my MXR bass+ DI distortion. It keeps the smooth undercurrent of fuzz but adds a gritty top-end and still maintains the clean bass punch. It's a great pedal.

Oh, ok, cool. I totally get what you're saying. It does it's job very well indeed then. I liked it at first. Then I jammed live with it then didn't like it that much. Buy after getting a couple different pres to send it through, I'm diggin it again. And now that I know how it's utilized and what it's "job" is, I'm diggin it even more. I thought it was suppose to be a straight fuzz pedal ya know.

I think it's more in the league of the Wooly Mammoth and Mastrotron pedals w/thick carpet fuzz. Fuzz, distortion and overdrive pedals can help shape different flavors w/this pedal for a personalized voicing.

Yeah I've been thinking that about it. Stacking dist and or OD's with it. I haven't tried a whole lot of that but now that Ive heard that from you I'm going to try a few things. Again, the thing sounds ridiculous going into the B7K. It's like it breathes life into it. I have to watch my levels though because I've noticed that when I kick it on and I'm already pushin some other pedals somewhat hard, the fuzz puts them over the edge and my amp will start clipping. It's a hot lil pedal.

Yeah, I've been having a similar issue with my Bass Fuzz Deluxe too. I love the sound, but it's definitely lost in the mix a bit, and I've been trying to stack it. Greg, I know you have a VERY similar setup to mine (GK 1001RB, NEO 410 and B3K and MXR Fuzz Deluxe) so if you find any good stacking options, let me know! I'll do likewise! Thus far, I'm liking my B3K set as more of a slight tube OD, then into my GK Diesel Dawg for some real heaviness when necessary, and finally into the Bass Fuzz Deluxe when I'm feeling it. The B3K and Fuzz Deluxe sound great together without the Dawg, as well. Just my rig at the moment, so feel free to chime in with your settings!

Oh fo sho. I'll be keeping you updated. I don't use my B7K for dist, just a barely slight grit. Barely. I use my ODB3 for a stronger grit and my OCD for full on dist. I also have a guv'nor but I'm having troubles trying to find a good tone with it so I don't use it often. Between the ODB3 and the OCD, I'm pretty much set on dirt. I'm getting a demon king eventually so I'm not sure what'll come off my board. Probably the guv'nor. It's gonna be hard to replace the OCD, I love the raunch tone I get from it. Especially going through the B7K. I'll start comboing the MXR with the few dirt pedals I have and see what happens. I know Ive some it before but I wasn't really paying close attention to what I was doing so I didn't get much out of it ya know.

I can't believe that I just paid almost $50 o have a pedal fixed!:crying:

My M188 Bass Auto Q finally died and a new footswitch and battery door later, it is back.

The M188 is such a great pedal for funk/RHCP (now discontinued) that I had to just suck it up and get it fixed.

Anyone else still loving the Auto Q?:bassist:
