Club revival. . .

Anyone have any comparisons between the Epifani UL line and the EBS Neo line? I've got the UL-410 Series 2 right now and have been running the LMII with it.

I've been curious about the amps and cabs for a while and have an HD-350 on the way. I've been using an Bass IQ pedal for a long time, and it's amazing. I am very interested in finding out more about the EBS cabs and whether the pairing with the Epi UL's will be similar or different.

Is this the factory default stuff, or modified?
Looks like it has shiny cone instead of matte paper, and rubber surround.
the 2x12 above seems to have the same cones, so I guess it's normal.

I bought my Drome at SB Musique in Nice, France back 7 years or so ago. I'd never heard of EBS, but I was looking for a small combo and was just blown away by the sound. When the time came for me to move to the US in 2009, I contacted EBS in Sweden to ask what it would take to convert it to US current, since I really, really didn't want to give up this fabulous little amp. It turned out that for an incredibly reasonable price, in the neighborhood of 30 euros, they shipped me the US version of the power transformer, and I discovered that they engineered the thing so that it's a solderless operation to change trannies!

My original Drome was of course superceded by the "NeoDrome" and "Drome Classic" models, but I recently went by the EBS web site and discovered that those have all been discontinued recently. This is a calamity for bassistkind, and I hope it's simply a prelude to EBS launching a new lightweight 150-200W combo.

Here's a pretty poor cell phone picture of my venerable Drome (with my even more venerable XL2). Make me a member! Give me a number! I wanna testify as a fan!
