I asked Adrian the same question before ordering my 32" scale Elwood L. His answer was something like this: If you are looking for a tight B-string like e.g. on a multiscale Dingwall bass, you will be disappointed! However if you are looking for a B-string with which you can make music, you will have no problem at all!

I can confirm exactly this from experience with my own bass. As a matter of fact, the B-string IS actually pretty tight and quite "bassy", very usable for sure.

Our club member @gt96g who owns a Mensinger Leaf may want to chime in. You may also want to check out the medium scale bass club on this forum.

Finally, you should also check out Adrian's video of the Mensinger Cazpar.

So I recently installed a John East Uni-Pre in my Elwood L...huge improvement! The thing is, I had these nice Q-Parts knobs before that matched the bass...white MOP inlay...but they don't work on the stacked pots. So as of now I have replaced two of the stock East knobs for the Q-Parts...what do you think? Should I keep it or go back to the East knobs that match the rest?

I've been switching between flats and rounds on my Jake several times now and just couldn't make up my mind. Now I took the plunge and invested in some TI jazz flats instead of daddario chromes I already had lying around and I couldn't be happier. The tension, flexibility and sound are just perfect, I absolutely love these strings on my Jake. I'm also curious how they'll age.

What do you mean by "The tension"? Flexible or tight?

So, I took a plunge and just placed the order for an Elwood C with chambered body. Excited, but a little cautious and anxious as I never actually played one. I'm originally from Poland and always wanted to have a bass guitar that's "Made in Poland". Plenty of electronic and design options and price was just right. Adrian is great to work with and was very responsive.

Ha, photo or there is no bass, huh? Here is what I came up with with their online configurator.

34" scale, Aguilar AG 4J-HC pups and Aguilar OBP-2 SK preamp (edited option as I changed my mind due to feedback from fellow TB member - Thanks!). Hipshot hardware all around. String through and swamp ash body with flamed maple top and veneered back in black burst transparent color.

I hope I'll love it when it gets here.

i can't fault them whatsoever. A looooot of super happy campers generally. I too , I have 3.
