I spend way too much time with the configurator already!

Thanks to Dave the dude, I just realized that I am sitting in my companies office in Duren Germany right now (Even though I am from Brooklyn, NY) and I am only a 25 minute drive from the Public Peace music shop .... Oh Boy!!! ..... Guess who'll be visiting there tomorrow?!?! .... And wouldn't it be nice if Wojtek happens to be there too .... Man, I love Europe.
On another note, themusicstore.de isn't that far away and either is Thomann ..... and neither is Jens Ritter's place ...... Oh man, I can't even afford thinking about this!

I know somebody who's going to settle in Germany....................................![]()
Great, welcome to Germany! A pity you don't have business up here in Hamburg, the most beautiful city!
Let us know what you learn and find at Adrian's place. Depending on your budget, you may want to visit Jens first though....![]()
Ok .... The Public Peace adventure as told by a bass player from Brooklyn, NY (That's what the "BK" stands for)
I left my office in Düren early and drove through beautiful German villages until I came upon Adrian's village. Might as well been out of a medieval Disney set, it was just beautiful, quiet and peaceful.
It took me awhile to find the exact street address .... but then I saw the small, unassuming "Public Peace" sign on the door. A very old door, a door that was probably older than the country I live in.
There were 2 buzzers I recognized "Public Peace" and "Marusczcyk" ... I cant recall which one I rang but Adrian and some family members answered the door in the courtyard and I was instantly blissed our by the sheer serenity of the old world vibe of his place .... Adrian told me "that's where the "peace" part of Public Peace comes from"
I had met Adrian once before at NAMM for maybe 20 min but he seemed to remember me and the hospitality I got from he and his family rivaled any of the finest restaurants or hotels I've visited much less a bass shop.
"Can we get you some coffee or some water or something cold to drink?" ... Like I was an old friend coming for a visit, it was surreal.
I was then taken up to where the goodness is, where the Maruszczyk basses were and told, "feel free to play whatever you want, as long as you want" .... Like a freaking kid in a candy store!!!! Then everyone left to go have their lunch outside and for almost an hour I was left alone to play all kinds of different basses, from Adrian's basses to old Fenders to Duesenbergs and more .... The place was wall to wall basses, amps, accessories ....
Then Adrian comes down to where I was ... pulled up a chair and we spoke about basses and Europe and traveling for quite awhile.
Then after talking about buying ANOTHER Maruszczyk, Adrian walked me out and I took off still smiling.
What an awesome guy, luthier and bass player .... Great experience.
Oh yeah, those of you waiting on your basses, I saw them ... and they look GREAT
I'll respect Adrian's privacy and not post any pics of his place ... except for the showroom ... but.... Check out MY couch shot

I'm old.....I need it now........Its a comin'.Afaik, they will get all models into the configurator eventually. There are also lots of Mensinger guitar models, so it will probably take time.

I'll be pushing up daisies before the Joker bass hits the configurator, and even deader by the time it'll get built...
