The Official MARUSZCZYK CLUB!

While I patiently wait for my Elwood C (patiently, patiently, patiently...)

Can someone here tell me what size and "pin" configuration Adrian's standard tuning machines are? I went with the standard clover style, hoping to swap them for ultralights and re-purpose the stock tuners. It actually ends up cheaper that way for me vs configuring it with lighter tuners, and I hopefully get a good quality set of machines to slap on a bass that needs them.

So, yesterday I went by to Public Peace again to pick up one of the basses the shop had for sale .... a Duesenberg D bass, always wanted one but almost impossible to buy one domestically in the states ..... I probably spent 2 hours there just hanging with Adrian and talking about all things bass and some of our favorite players ....

As I'm trying the D bass out, Adrian grabs his Svaboda and we jam for a bit .... how surreal that moment was.

I STRONGLY URGE any of you who find yourself traveling through Germany, especially the Cologne / Aachen region to email Adrian for a visit, I can only imagine he's as gracious to all his guests. Plus, the property his studio / shop is on, is beyond serene.

And I'll soon place an order for an olive green absolution and pick it up on one of the next business trips I have in the area ....

Here's the Duesenberg:

(Still with the hang tag  )

Beautiful bass and even better experience with Adrian!:)

Assuming you have a CITES certificate for the rosewood?

The configurator makes it hard. I keep messing with it while I wait on my order and I'm already considering the next one :D

Is your Frog a 32" by any chance? I want to know if anyone has done the 32" 5er and how the B feels.
