Yup, and I didn't see any elwood with a different headstock. I might have missed it though, there are A LOT of pictures. Would love to see that Elwood / Jazz is combination as well
Yes, I had that modded Mustang P/J. Was nice but mine was a bit heavy and I prefer a flatter fretboard radius. I ended up choosing 14" radius and 38mm for the nut on the Cazpar's. Looking forward to receiving them. I'm 4 weeks in on one of my orders
Personal preference, but I prefer being able to change my tone directly from on the bass and in particular being able to get 3 main different EQ settings; 1) flat, 2) rolled off treble and 3) scooped mids (with small treble and bass boost). And to do that, I need 3 band.
Of course there are other ways to do that, further down the signal chain, but I just like having it direct on the bass. I do not know to what extent the noise (signal-noise) is better or worse like but it is acceptable for me using the onboard pre-amp. As usual though, opinions will vary.
Thought I was GAS free, until I started thinking about an unlined fretless.

Have a closer look, I think you will find it needs a real small Allen key. Sometimes it is on the top rim of the knob
So the little dot indicator on the chrome dome part on top? I can't even see that it's anything but a teeny hole, but I'll see if I can find a small enough hex.
Edit: Man, that must be a small hex because my .05 inch one is the smallest I have, and it isn't small enough. I'm thinking the knobs are going to be pretty much permanent.

You're really going to like it. I cant' get over the craftmanship. Next level, to me.
I asked for a vibrant top, and the one that I selected between the two available tops looks incredible!
If my bass sounds as good as it looks, I will have my dream bass!
I realised yesterday that the standard 5 string bridge on the Elwoods is the same bridge you'll find on some Harley Bentons.
Probably helps keeping the cost down. Don't get me wrong, it's not bad at all, it's sturdy and does the job, just that there's a difference in "prestige" (for lack of a better word) between HB and Maruszczyk.
No big deal, but it's still a cheap die cast bridge cost-wise and I'll probably go for a brass Hipshot for my next Maruszczyk.
