The Official MARUSZCZYK CLUB!

Do these come with hardshell cases?
They come with a nice padded gig bag, but you can up grade to a nice soft case for 90 euros, or to a gorgeous leather gig bag (I have used one for a couple of years) for 289 euros. This is on the accessories page on the configurator.

Wait what? In what context did he say that?

We talked about the Request for that on Wedesday, when i picked up my Joker Bass. At least we came up, that Customers wish is his heaven...i wrote a little more on Basschat, but i guess he had to make a consultation at the paint job guys in Waksmund first.
A few minutes ago he told me in a personal speech, that they can/will do the matte metallic finishes. As he is no member on Talkbass, Basschat, Bassic or elsewhere, he asked me to tell here and no problem, so i've done.

I received my new Jake P/J 5 string a few days ago from a dealer on Reverb.com. I love the bass!! I noticed on the "build card" that it must have been sitting around for a while. It showed a date of 6/2018. I was thinking that I might change the strings and it does show the strings that are on the bass at time of build. I believe that it says M5BN for "strings". I see the gauges on his website for those strings. Here is my question. What company makes his strings? If I want to replace the strings with the same kind, I would prefer not to have to order and wait for shipping to the Phoenix, Arizona area and pay the extra shipping fees. There must be an equiv. string with DR, GHS, D'Addarrio, etc... Any ideas what strings would be similar or the same?

I wouldn't worry about the age of the strings on a new bass. If nobody has been playing on them, then there's effectively no aging.

Congrats on your new acquisition!

but I am curious as to who supplies his strings so I know for the future. I typically have been using DR Pure Blues or Fat Beams (Nickle and SS) and wonder how much different they might sound on this particular bass.

if i remember right, some time ago, i've read, that he works with an Company in Italy, but that is only what i have read in another Forum. I would go for my favourite String, as long as you have the right Gauge. The Differences in Tension on Roundwounds is not that big...:) the worst thing could be a minor adjustment on the Trussrod and in Relation to that:

The Trussrod on Maruszczyk and Mensinger Basses, works in the opposite Direction. Not "righty tighty - lefty losey"... The Opposite ist the Case!!!
