The Official MARUSZCZYK CLUB!

Well since I already have three Maru 4-string basses, why not a custom 5-string!

Better look at a Cream white + cream pearl Mopped B:

Hey, guys! Looking at building a multiscale. Debating between an Elwood L and a Frog. Any significant difference in weight between those models?

I'm trying to decide which body shape would look better in a multiscale configuration. I really love the classic shape of the Elwood, but maybe the Frog's modern shape works better given the almost futuristic look of a multiscale?
I vote frog, but then I'm biased:

12" is Sadowsky spec.
Mine are all 14", which is a nice compromise between vintage round (9.5") or modern flat (>=20").
Please let me know how you like your Jazzus. I'm intrigued by the body shape and am considering a 32" fiver. Plus, the Jazzus has the best-looking headstock shape out of all of the Maru basses.
Love mine:

Tragedy has struck - one of the screws in the bridge, specifically the screw and spring for intonation on the A string, of my beloved Elwood has magically disappeared and I cannot find it. It's the stock high mass bridge, anyone got the deets on the specifics of this screw and spring, or am I going to need a new bridge?

Try contacting Public Peace. I've had positive interactions with them for parts support.

Very nice!
What are the 2 silver buttons or switches? I usually see toggle switches there, but those look like pushbuttons.
Those used to be switches, 2 for coil taps and one on/off. I swapped the previous Delano SBC pickups with Aguilar DCBs, so no coil taps, and the pre-amp is now a Trickfish/Pope 4-band. The holes are filled with Chicago screws, which I needed to ground.
