The Official MARUSZCZYK CLUB!

Hi all, long time lurker here. I ordered my first Maru bass today, I can't wait for the couch pic. This is the configurator version:

Edit: it's an Elwood L, 34", matte vista green metallic, roasted flamed maple neck and fingerboard, Nordstrand warm&wooly pickups, and a cream binding.

That’s a beaut. I keep waffling on if I want a PJ Jake or a Elwood JJ. This one pushed me back to an Elwood (if only temporarily haha).

Very nice bass! I have a very similar configuration (I take it yours is passive, too?) and just love it.

So cool! Welcome, the quality of these basses is amazing, I received my first one (of four) back in December 2021 and haven’t look back since.

I think I have decided I’m going to order a Sputnik. I’ve always been attracted to single cutaway basses and the options available for these basses are pretty stellar.

I'll go back through and read some of the posts in this forum, but in general what has been your experience with ordering a custom? How long does it take? I have a few ideas of things I want that aren't listed as options, but aren't too crazy - what has been the response for working with outside the box ideas? Any other input before ordering one?

Thanks!

Good choice! I can't remember how long mine too, but whatever it was that Adrian said is what it ended up being. The instrument turned out wonderfully. To this day, it still gives me butterflies when I take it out of the case, just as much as the day they put it in my hands! As for options that aren't listed, just ask Adrian - he's very accommodating and at worst he'll just explain that something isn't possible.
