I have had a few days with my new Elwood L and I am very pleased with it. I have not needed to do any adjustments to it at all. Action is perfect and it is fairly light at 7.4 lbs. I had ordered a set of white ebony knobs a few months back for it and I installed those and a string retainer for the A & D string as I felt it needed one. One very cool thing is from what I can tell, it looks like my Alder body is one piece. There is no visible middle line that indicates it is a 2 piece body. The grain from looking down the back of the neck at the top of the body shows a continuous wood grain.

Wow, that top is stunning!
The fingerboard and knob's really finish off the total look, very nice.

I really like the tone of this multi scale. Wonder if it is available in a 5-string version with 18mm spacing?

That's definitely an option with Marusczcyk.

Changing string spacing or going for 4-5-6 strings have never been an issue as far as I know.

Confirmed! I requested 17.5mm and got just that

Same! But I had to use one of the bridge options that already offers 17.5mm string spacing, so I went with the Hipshot A style

Stunning instrument! I was just thinking how I don't like how P and humbucker configs look… but those circular pickups make it work somehow. Bet it sounds even better than it looks.

I've been looking at getting a 6 string hollow body, 48HB pickups with coil switches and either passive electronics or Aguilar OBP-1 SK preamp.

I think that bass with flatwounds would cover all of my needs and what it can't, I have American Ultra 5 string jazz bass to cover any other needs.

Yeah, I found some results, but was hoping there would be someone to just share their thoughts, likes, dislikes, etc. I'm not a collector of basses and don't ever intend to be. I do prefer to make quality purchases once though.
