Thanks, Georges. I knew I'd seen a reference to what Gouche has been using but I couldn't remember where (it was on the Austin Bass Traders site).I think he's still using this one:

+1 I love the look of that 635. The black limba is quite something on that bass. The chocolate brown Zircote bass is magnificent as well...

Michael has been building gorgeous instruments for over 30 years...his output is just incredible. As magnificent to look at as they are to play.
Cheers,
Cameron
Just ran across this on the Austin Bass Trader's site... Michael's 2000th bass!

Wow! Quite a milestone, and quite a beauty!![]()
Glenn's comments about this one in the description suggest it is a special one.

Damn, you made me read Glenn's write-up.
Somebody buy this thing quick!
But give me dibs...![]()
I've been wondering about the maple ebony combo in an MTD neck but, then again, I've also been "wondering" about countless other combinations. I'd like to see a back shot of that 535, and would also like to know the weight. I guess it doesn't really matter though, cause that bass ain't going to be mine. Did I mention that I have Mike keeping an eye out for a light weight piece of ash for me...
I recently spoke with Mike about ordering my next MTD, he was very adamant about me first trying a makore body MTD before he or I made any decisions about my bass. He'll be at bass player live with some, I can't wait!
According to Andrew Gouches Facebook there is a AG signature model. Anyone know any details?
Purpleheart.Go to his page on Facebook and he has pic's and the letter that Mike sends along with his basses. I believe it has an alder body, myrtle top, maple neck, ...I cna't remember the fingerboard wood, but is reddish in color.
