Guys,

Need some help here. I just searched for MTD USA dealers from mtdbass.com. Looking for one in Las Vegas and there is this one called Access Bass. However, I cannot find anything about this shop in the internet. Is the shop still there?
LOOOOONG Gone. That was Adrian Garcia's shop, and he succumbed to cancer a while back.

Your best bet would be to PM Joelc73 here or go to Glenn's shop at austinbasstraders.com.

Glenn's description from his website:

"This 635 has a big, powerful, growly, clear, and broad attack. It has very quick focus, and has excellent MTD articulation. The trueness and sonority of its low “B” is unsurpassed. This is a potent wood combination for finger style playing as notes are big, broad, and powerful. They remain that way all the way up the neck. Its tremendous growl and aggressive demeanor are perfectly suited not only to “sit” perfectly in a busy mix, but also powerful enough to “stand” on, and easily stand out in that mix if necessary.

Sometimes its not easy to convey the degree of just how powerful an instrument this is. Its notes don’t just cut thru… they “punch thru” . More like a broad fisted boxer than a knife like cut. Yes, we’re talking “moving some air.” Still, I cannot over emphasize that this instrument is very controllable, very articulate, quick, and surprisingly responsive. One doesn’t have to “overplay” it to get it to speak as its dynamic range and speaking voice are quite impressive.

Chords are clear, and with consistent timbre and perfect size to the “body of the notes”. Closely voiced chords are clear, and substantive. Never becoming shrill nor brittle.

Slapping, yields typically excellent MTD results. Because of its selection and combination of woods its notes “explode”, and sound very clearly and percussively with typical MTD “sparkle”. Alternating between fingerstyle playing, and slapping can easily be achieved without having to adjust tone or pickup blend settings. This bass just has that right combination of woods, and an inherent voicing that is unique and versatile.

It’s not just a “workhorse”… but a “pretty face”, and with Its flamed ash neck and body, selected from our private stock, its incomparable walnut burl “10” top, “stylish” matching wooden knobs, embellished with an MTD “the World” logo… she’s ready to go “dancing”."

What Glenn wrote on his website should be very accurate :D
Congratulations on your MTD! :bassist:
