The Official Peavey Thread!!!!

My USA Millennium. It has a nice blue/purple fade to it that is hard to catch in photos. I may have a line on a nice blonde one.

I use a Peavey TVX210 cabinet and an Eden 2x10. The Eden is supposed to be a much better but they both sound great. I opened both cabinets to access the crossovers and the Peavey is built much better.

I've never owned a Peavey amplifier. Their best feature is they don't break down. I never have known anyone who’ has had a problem with a Peavey Amp.

In the early 80s I had a Peavey T-40 bass. I bought it because only because it was inexpensive. It was very well made and sounded amazing. You can here it on "Don't Stop Belevin' by Journey.

( I mean you can hear Ross Valroy playing his T-40 on that tune, not me ;) )

Just got my t-40 out of cold storage at the rehursal space. (it was in an unheated church closet all winter) Man I missed this bass. The neck is still the straitest, with lowest buzz-free action of all my 4 stringers. And the tone... Beautiful. Needless to say it came back home with me.

My wife actually said she had missed that bass. I hope to have some pics soon.

Well, I guess I'll join up here too.

My head is a Peavey Mark IV, and my Cab (used to be) an Peavey 1820. Here's what went down.

I needed more power for arenas and big stages, and my Peavey KB300 just wasn't quite cutting it anymore, so I brought it to a pawn shop along with an old Hammond Electric Piano and traded them in for the above mentioned, and forked out an additional $60.

I tried to get the 1820 cab in the back seat of my sunfire, but it wouldn't fit due to the passanger seat recline lever.

So I got a buddy to bring it home for me and in the backyard on a warm summer day, completely dismanteled it, and made it into a 2-10, and a 1-18.

They turned out awesome!, still use them exclusively today.

Best thing about Peavey......SOLID!

Originally a Peavey 1820 Bass Enclosure, now it is separate 2-10, and 1-18.

Actually sounds way better, and I can take just one cab with me to rehearsals and smaller venues.

18" is a Black Widow, and originally has a silver dust cover in the middle, but it stuck out like a sore thumb. I painted it with flat black paint. Grills are expanded metal painted flat black (got these for a case of beer), I plan on roadcasing all pieces soon, as well are getting the nice big castors for the 18 cabinet.
