just scored this today, i am planning on upgrading this one. anyone know of any pickups that will drop right in? i would like to put a hipshot bridge on it that would allow 3/4th spacing. is the neck wide enough for that? it is missing a knob, can anyone point me in the direction to replace it. any info would be appreciated.

Adding the 5th string would be a good start...... Sweet bass!

Very nice! Great axe. Try the forum over at Invalid Link Removed Peavey site.

my first bass was a peavey. An old one. Maybe you guys can tell me what was the model.
It was a 4 string fretless, one brown pick up. With something that look like a thumb rest on the pick up.
It was natural wood, but i can't remember what kind of wood it was.
It was the same shape as a T-40.

Me second bass was a fondation. Great bass!

I don't know if someone answered this earlier, but your first bass sounds to me like a T-20. The Fury was later built with the same pickup config.

I was after a 5-string for the first time in many years and this Millenium came up on Ebay UK. Pretty much all the reviews I could find of it were positive so I grabbed it.

It's got a few scratches but everything works and the setup is pretty much spot on. I've played it a bit and it feels really nice. Sounds good too.

Here it is next to my Squier Precision Special.

I was really amazed at how good the Import Milleniums sounded and played...especially at their price point. When I was jonesin' for a fiver I wanted a BXP AC in BLUE...like the standard BXPs...Peavey didn't offer the color...so I waited and wound up with a BXP Cirrus 5 that I modded with a USA Millenium pre.:D

I just picked up a G Bass to keep my T-40 company. It's light as a feather, carbon fiber neck, 35" scale, nice 18v preamp.....IMHO, another awesome bass from the Peavey folks.

It is quite a nice bass, isn't it? Mine is holoflake black...I laughed at it in the store for several years...but it grew on me and I took it home, lol! The pearl white always was my fave! Congrats! I just slapped (ho, hum...he did it AGAIN!) a Millenium pre in mine and really appreciate the sweepable mids...especially in a single pickup bass.

I've owned a bunch of basses, and this Millennium may be the best playing bass I have ever owned. The tone is super flexible which can be a pain sometimes because I have to really remember the settings. I guess everything has its price.

Boy, I sure was glad when I found a sucker to take that piece of...
Hey Cheese! Glad you like the bass! JK!:D

That Millennium was/is a very nice bass. Awesome neck profile, well balanced, lightweight and a flexible tone. It just wasn't the bass for me. I am very happy that someone who could appreciate it could get it.

If you have never played a USA made Millennium and you come across one, try it, you may end up liking it and end up with a bass that compares favorably, if not better than a lot of other USA made basses at a fraction of the price.
