I just got on the Schroeder site. It looks like the 21012L design I'm waiting on has been retired. I'm not disappointed, because I love the way the prior design sounds, especially with a Little Mark II.

I'm curious if anyone has checked out the new design. It has the 3 speakers all front-firing. It also has some ports that look similair to the 610L ports.
I wonder how the prior design would sound paired with a new model.

BTW, it's the same price.

Why not just get one from Schroeder? It's $75.00 but I feel like it really does protect the cab. The Schroeder cover is well padded. I guess you could have one custom-made, but after shipping and all I'm not sure how much money you'd save.
I sprung for it even though I got the Rhino covering, just for protection while transporting and handling. You never know...and I think I'll be keeping my 410L for a while.

I aslo got one for my new 1212L and was surprised how padded it was. And it was cheap compared to the one i had on my UL212 (guess thats because it was bigger)
I only wish i had doen the same a few years ago and got one for my 1210R.

+1! I'd be very interested to hear how the new front fired 21012L sounds compared to the other Schroeder cabs as well as other mid-sized neo loaded cabs.

Just did my first gig with my 1212L. OH MY GOD

Easily the best on stage sound I have ever had (I've played this particular venue a number of times) and it just sat in its own space the mix when I took a walk in to the audience area.

I am totally made up

I reckon the next time any of my bass playing buddies come to one of my gigs Jorg's order book will go up. Just the best cab I've played, ever.

I'll soon be joining this club. I just ordered a large 1515L. I'm a fan of 15's from way back, so I just couldn't resist. I'm expecting this cab to replace my Aguilar GS212 and GS115 as my stage rig. It will be interesting to make the comparison.

The Clarus sounds great with the 115 especially for fretless. The AI calms down the MTD a lot and makes it more neutral sounding rather than hifi sounding when used with other amps. I've also played this rig with upright and it is perfect! Very huge sound.

I just got Brian at The Lowend to order me a cover, but he said Jorg might be out, and isn't sur if he's going to keep carrying them.

I need a cover for my 21012L I'm expecting Thursday! Anyone?

His padded covers are on par with some manufacuturer's covers at a good price. He does custom orders too. If you don't see it on the site, he may already have the dimensions. If not, you can give him the dimensions and he'll make it. I have two on my cabs and one on the way.

Anybody had the chance to try the newly redesigned 21012L? Just curious how it sounds compared to the 410L or how it would sound compared to a stack of two 15+L cabs.

IMO, the old 21012L design sounds great. I'm waiting on one. It should be here Friday.
I'll be running it with my LMII. I've played the combination before.
I am also anxious to find out the differences between the old & new designs. I'm wondering if it will be a little less low mid and more deep?

We'll see...

I'm also interested in the new 21012L because my Berg HT322's are heavy to haul around. I wrote to Jorg and asked how the new design sounds and his reply was:

"Thank you for your email and interest in my cabinets; Kevin Walker was the first who took the newly designed 21012L on tour with Timberlake and was floored; the response is a lot more even than the previous design and still offers a very nice and fat low end; I wanted to offer a new version that provides a very fast attack and is fantastic for all variety of bassists from slappers to blues/rockers; Al Caldwell, Kevin Brubaker (Brubaker basses) and George Traviani (Fclef) were also highly impressed with the clarity, balance and low end of the new design. Let me know if you have any further questions."

This sounds like a move in the right direction and worthy of a tryout. Jorg really keeps on top of things.

I love the response of the previouse design with a LMII. So, I'm excited to hear the new one. I guess I'll have to get one and pair it with my older design. i feel gassy

There definitely seems to be some special relationship between Schroeder cabs and the LMII, I'm amazed at my sound now and I was already pretty happy before the Schroe arrived!

Taking 44 pounds to the gig and shaking the hell out of the place really appeals to me....

I am thinking some serious vintage tone.....

Any user reviews and experience with the new 1215L?

I was waiting for a full blown gig to chime in about my 1215L, but here goes...

In a word, YES. YES YES YES. I previously used a 1212L and was really blown away by the sound for pound. No compromise, big surprise! It could have been the end of the story until I heard about a 15 option. I was a 15 guy for decades using EVM's and Bag End.

My 1215L is just what I predicted it would be. I am running a Walkabout head with a 4 ohm cab. I'm lousy at writing about sound, but it has all the qualities I liked about the 1212L with added...thickness. You won't get any sub woof going this route, but it really does add beef while retaining the tightness. This is exactly what I was looking for so I'm a happy guy. It is 2" taller and slightly heavier than my 1212L was. I will post a photo, swear.
