I've never heard a Schroeder in a live situation.Do they really retain a good low end even with the smaller drivers?
Absolutely! They're all I use now. I've owned a ton (probably more than a ton) of cabinets over the years-Crate, Avatar, SWR, Bergantino, Eden, I sold them all because these cabs just WORK. I can hear myself wherever I am on the stage, as well.

Thanks,I guess I better head down to the Bass Gallery here in town and give one a try.Man, I'm 50 years old and really tired of lugging around huge cabs!!!
I'm 43, and I feel your pain! Give the 1212L a try- it may not floor you by itself, but you put it in a band situation and it kills! For larger gigs, I'd recommend the 21012L, or the 410L (my personal fave). If you REALLY need to break concrete, the old 310212R (which is too heavy, and discontinued anyway) combined with the 410L is a MONSTER RIG. A lighter option would be the 210212L. Best of both worlds, there. BTW, I drive a four-door Metro, and can fit the 410L, the 1210L, my rack, two basses, my gig bag, and a change of clothes and STILL have room for a passenger! :D

I agree, these speakers (at least the 1212L's) don't impress the masses with "solo practice tone"... but you put them in a crowded mix... Perfection! Dig the small size/weight, and if you want a back saving rig that combines Schroeder punch and some extra warmth, add an Epifani 110 UL (series 1 of course :p) to the mix.

If we're all really patient some killer 2ohm micro heads will be coming out very soon! We all know how good Schroeder cabs sound with tube amps... unfortunately most of us "back savers" bought 4ohm cabs for the one cab solution. Imagine a Shuttle like head that runs 2ohms! They're coming fellas... just a matter of time! Let the GAS begin :D

I saw Jorg yesterday and he is awesome!!! I listened to the 1210L, 1212L 10+ adn 12+

I went home with the 1212L, because I'm used to 6x10's and loved the footprint. He had the volume up so loud, I just don't play like that, but the cabinet sounded great at any volume level. When I plugged my Walter Woods in; it sang!

Jorg Schroer has got it going on; he listens to each player's ideas and employs them.

+1000 for a real gentleman that knows what bassplayers need because he is a bass player. THANK YOU JORG!!!!!

OK..... #please?

More proof that Jorg rocks!

A pretty old version of the 1210. I started this in March, and it's been finished for a while (painted with duplicolor truck bed liner) but I don't have pics of the finished makeover yet.

I love this cab!

i recently did this to my 4 yr old 410R

i found soaking the cab with water made the carpet literally fall off because the glue is water based.

i then scraped the " gel'd" glue straight off teh cab no problems at all.

i then had it painted with line x

I just got off the phone with Bassic83 (Thanks Eric!) and we had a really good conversation as to what would fit my needs and how these things come across in real gig situations. This old man is sold! I'm going with the 21012L in Cayenne Rhino. That is if I don't talk myself back into the 410L! I think I'm in a win-win situation!
