oh man I remember those, they sounded good but I really disliked the look of them, and those horns look like they are designed to break off if you bump them. makes me nervous.

I'm not usually a fan of LP shape basses but that's nice. Lovely flat finish as well.

Was about to say the exact same thing. What a simple yet great looking bass. How's it sound? Every ESP bass I've ever heard (NOT their guitars. Their guitars sound AMAZING) has sounded like complete ass.

Hm. I haven't had that experience. My ESP sounds mighty fine.

Maybe it has something to do with the type of sound expected..

My first bass was an Ibanez GSR200, and it sounded great to me until I got my first Fender. Once I bought my Geddy, the sound my Ibanez made seemed almost offensive to me.. ..So much so that I sold it. *shrug*

Perhaps. I personally have no use for the classic fender sound, so I've never heard one that I thought sounded just great. I prefer a brighter, more ringing sound.

It's all personal preference of course...that's why there are so many excellent varieties.

I have an LTD bass that sounds pretty sweet... But granted, ESP and LTD are totally different.

That Prestige is stunning! I used to have a Soundgear Prestige 1005 (maple). Are you familiar with it? I was wondering if you knew how the two differed in sound and feel....

I loves, loves, loves me the Ibanez's of the late 80's to early 90's. Had me a pair (an 86 RB800 + 93 SR800... stolen ) but man did they use some awful colors. My 93 was teal...TEAL! Ack, oh but watta bass! Quite a stunning pair Swin.
Color me jealous!
