New friend for my Spector, and my first bass purchase since the 90s. Used Sterling StingRay Ray34 Sassafras. Swapped out the tuning machines (treble side had no bushings) for a set of Hipshot HB7, and the clear pick guard for a black one. Fender tape-wounds.

yep it’s a Harley Benton.. all of about a hundred and fifty bones when I bought it with shipping… but added a battery under the pick guard for a original stingray 2band copy of eBay… badass bridge, lightweight tuners and bam sounds better than my ray 34. Less than 500 in it when it was all said and done

Been wanting one of these for a while. My first Warwick and while it’s the Chinese manufactured Rockbass line, I’m very impressed with the quality, playability and articulation of the low B. May need to start saving the pennies for the Pro line version.

Here's my P Bass from early '57. I recently joined a blues band, which inspired me to pick it up again after many years. I want to get as close as I can to an upright bass sound. After reading through several threads on this forum before I joined, I decided to get some La Bella flatwounds for it and a new Fender Rumble combo amp. A big thanks, as I'm enjoying the hell out of it so far...

I highly recommend picking up one of these. At the time I got it, the only acoustic I've found that sounded better was a Gretsch that was 2.5x the price 10 years earlier:

The latest bass added to the stable. This was a fun project that turned out way better than I expected. It's currently wired up so that the toggles switch between north coil/series/south coil for each pickup. All in all, there are 21 different tonal options which makes this quite the versatile bass.

Thanks! I still need to wire it up as I ran out of solder mid-way through! The '60s vintage Teisco singles are great sounding pu's - big & ballsy.

That's one of my goal basses because of the smaller body. Is the preamp always-on or does it have an active/passive bypass somewhere?

So cool that I've had so many 'likes' for this somewhat unknown, affordable but quality 4-string bass. I have many basses but this one is exceptional in looks, playability and sound. Used at rehearsals, jam-sessions, live and recording. I love this bass.
