My new used Aria Pro II Cardinal Series CSB-300, just got it this Friday:
Only thing I did to it was putting on a fresh set of strings and replace the stock pot knobs, and give it a through setup.
This pickup and and it's position is something else, really snappy and punchy, just as I prefer it.
The more I play it the more I love it, likely will become my new main.

I should perhaps add, for those not familiar with this model.
Ash body (appears to be made of 3 pieces of wood), 3 piece bolt on Maple neck with Rosewood fretboard.
Medium 32" scale length.
The neck is quite chunky, but doesn't expand as you got upwards towards the bridge, so nut width just bellow 43mm, but string spacing at bridge only 16.5mm, and very comfortable to play.
And despite the short horn it practically got no neck dive with a wide padded leather/suede strap like this.

Fbass (Marcel & George Furlanetto from Hamilton ON) and Reimer Guitars (Dave Reimer from Van City!)
Blown away by all three of these basses! Honduran boards on the Reimers and extra special Brazilian RW on the VF5! The VF5 was built by Dan Minton, on of Fbasses finest and took him 2 years to build in his spare time.
The woods sing!!!

I should start a thread.
It’s been my one and only for about 4 years now. I’ve added an Effectrode LA-1A Signal Leveller (Compressor) and that’s all I use. I briefly posted my Reimer basses for sale and posted some sound files. I’m subtle in what I do at times, but those were recorded with my preamp.
I owned a 1972 Ampeg Blueline with GE tubes, traded it back to the original owner and found an SVT-VR locally and loved that one more. Couldn’t justify owning something worth double the value when I found the remake better.
The Summit Audio came after and I have no interest in anything else.
I don’t need a Noble, or a Monique or to stay current on whatever the latest pedal is. I have what I need. I’m that satisfied.

For those of you with 1960s or similar P basses, can you tell me what that button on the back of the headstock is for? Is it a strap button or what?
