I'm new to the forum. This is my current rig. It's nothing too special. Squier Classic Vibe P Bass with an aged white pickguard, I just ordered Seymour Duncan Quarter Pound pickups for it. Next is my Squier Vintage Modified Jazz Bass with a Mexican neck and Seymour Duncan Quarter Pound pickups. The amp is a Peavey Mark VI XP series with a Peavey 4x10 cab. For effects, I run through a Boss GT6-B pedal board. It's fairly simple but I don't play out much as I'm more of a drummer.

Well, to fully understand his dilemma - you just have to walk a mile in his shoes. At least that way you have a new pair of shoes and you're a mile away so he'll never catch you.

I'm not going thru every piece of gear and instrument right now as far as photos go - it'll give me an excuse to visit here more often.
The Ibanez is an Ergodyne with 4 out of the 5 strings on it. It's pretty nice sounding when you get the piezo's working right which they aren't right now so it's a project - which might be a losing cause. But it's pretty cheap so if I don't get it going I won't be heartbroken.
I bought the Jazz new in '78. The body has taken a beating over the years but so have I. We've been through the wars and the whores together - I'll never get rid of it so I really don't care what she looks like. It weighs a ton - the paint is like (or so I was told) cellulose or nitrocellulose but I thought Fender quit using cellulose like in the 60's or something. I don't remember the exact type of DiMaggio's are in and I had them put in 30 years ago.
Dave Bunker had his shop locally and I was driving by going to a job site I was working at the time. I stopped in one day and we started the laborious process of getting this built. It took about 6 months or so with some issues of getting all of the parts Dave wanted to use. He sent the first set of Lawrence pup's back to Bill because Dave didn't like the way they worked through his preamp. Anyway, well worth waiting for. I heard his son was doing Treker but that was a while back. Dave built mine when he was in Mill Creek, Wa but he moved to Marysville, Wa the last I knew. Anyone ever out in his area outta stop by, he really enjoys his work and the musicians that he builds for.
Finally the Eppy El Capitan 5 string fl. I traded a Yamaha electric for it at store. I don't remember the Yamaha but I didn't pay much for it and it wasn't that good of a bass anyway. The acoustic is handy - I keep it by my desk and can just grab it when I get the urge. I use TI's on it. Yeah they are spendy but give an awesome sound. Besides that they last forever. OK, maybe not forever but a long time. Epiphone has a pile of different ways they sort out their serial number system. but this serial number is; S98050003
and I believe that comes out to, Samick, 1998, May and the last 4 are a ranking number. But they also have ones that have a 4 digit sequential ranking number in some cases and I don't know the difference between the two. But it comes out to unit 3 in either case.
