Ordered in 2008 and delivered in 2010, this was the last 12-String Standard Bass Hamer made, and only around 50 more Hamer instruments were made before FMI pulled the plug.

Thanks and yeah it sounds like you're playing a bass and a 12-string guitar at the same time.
It's great if you're in a three piece band because it really fills in when the guitar player solos.
But my current band feels like I'm stepping on the guitars

It does have the S1, and I did change the tone kn0b, but have since changed it back. The thing is a piano around yer neck, I love it dearly.

Long story - the pic I posted had a MIM Fender body (and shot in that beautiful warm sunset light) which I've since replaced with an actual vintage '66 with a poly re-finish by Marty Bell, (SoCal) so the level of amber-ing from UV will be minimal under normal conditions. Just like all vintage Fender colours, there is no one (standard) Oly white - the hue can vary from maker to finisher, so my '66 is a bit brighter than the MIM Fender Oly white. The both looked good, and I'm very pleased with it's look now. The neck was custom made by Dan Ransom (SF) and was finished by Pat Wilkins. (SoCal) Per my request, he shot the hs face with a slight amber clearcoat post decal to allude to the way those nitro coated hs faces aged. (usually darker than the bodies) The neck was finished in a vintage amber, and I sanded it off recently to get a more wood feel. (pic taken before applying hand rubbed satin poly... so a bit darker) I has Fender Pure Vintage '74 pu's which sound great! Pick-guard is a Spitfire.
Tort will always be cool. It is the cool.
