The official "Show your basses" thread part 19!

Well since I have been cleaning out and reducing my amount, I was at the point of having my Landing and the Rob Allen mouse.

AND LIFE WAS STILL GOOD!

Then a Gibson at a stupid low price at GC came up. And I have always wanted a good Gibson (LOL) - but I think this is the closest.

Hello again, errybody

Here I go again...maybe a long story, so I'll just cut it down just a bit....

Been working through this pandemic (MASK-UP PEOPLE!!!!), and was bored after a long month of work, so one of the rare times I start browsing sites. Zzounds being one of them. I usually check on GC for some things, but this particular time, I checked GC first, and of course, a guitar that was "backordered" was not available (I know this is a bass forum/website, but stick with me.....)

Checked Zzounds, and lo and behold, The guitar was available. Checked the company main website, and "not available". So I faced another life decision, kept looking for other smaller things I think I may need before another purchase. Also, I feel like I'm so behind in knowing gear, I found a bass that just caught my eye. Reasonably priced, and everything I've heard, it fit into my style (similar to the Marcus Miller M2 I bought last year) as far as tone is concerned.

More life decisions....Placed my card info into the appropriate boxes....waited an entire 4 hours before it was time to go home....so here's my Pandemic Purchases of 2020 (still ongoing now cuz, well, there's a wishlist option on the website)

Welcome to the Armory...

Thanks man ! I really like a light bridge . I only use a boat anchor when trying to counter neck dive .

These Babicz are really light. This 3 screw FCH-4 AM string thru specs at only 3.8 oz.. Not sure if that includes the Ferrules. I suspect it does because the 5 screw FCH-4 Top load specs @ 3.7 oz.
Now I wish I'd have weighed it.

I have one of those on my '67 Gibson EB-0. probably the worst bridge out there, but, it's vintage.

John

This on a set neck '67 Gibson Melody Maker. Haven't done a good setup on it since the new strings but previously the intonation and action checked out. Thought it odd considering adjustment limit.
