Here is my newest purchase and does it ever sound great!!!! It is my Dean Rhapsody 12-string bass. If you want to know what one sounds like, listen to Jeremy by Pearl Jam: Unplugged. It will take me a while to master that sound but I will have fun doing it. Note: this is an extremely heavy instrument, weighing in at 12 pounds plus the stock case and strap.

Fair point, I admit I coaxed him into posting at least one video that he was not originally planning to share, but I would counterpoint that he has "shown us his basses" and by virtue of his approach, opinions notwithstanding, he really gives you a good idea of what each one is like because:

1. He tries to use the same baseline rig while fiddling with on-bass settings so you can hear what different tone/pup configurations do.
2. He'll use the same bass lines so, while repetitive, they provide you baseline comparable values.
3. He'll compare basses that are known quantities (i.e. his MIM Fender P, EBMM, etc.) so you can hear the difference (again through the same rig.

But even in the vid I got him to post, for the HLK bass, you get some information that might be useful if you were thinking about buying one.

Additionally, I don't think he is leveraging that channel at this point for much personal gain.

I freely admit that I'm chatty and have a sense of humor, so if its not so much his posts but the resultant conversations, I suppose I personally could tone it down a bit.

Despite any cons that you'd pointed out, I think that the cool factor of that thing is off the charts

Personally, I’d like to see him show us some Skjolds, Foderas, MTDs, Padalka( secret obsession), and other higher end instruments but.....

I've got two Padalkas. The thing with them is I'm not so sure how valuable or at least representative sample videos would be as he does not have a standard set up beyond the basic shapes. They all have different pickups, pickup placement, preamps, scales, neck profiles, string spacing, nut width, radius, fret size, et al as these are all to order based on customer's preferences.
Build quality is off the charts.

I love the idea of the Big Al, its kinda how I went down the rabbit hole leading me to work on making a 6 pickup bass... even if it would not ultimately sound like a Big Al...

Those are sick. I see these in advertisements sometimes and they look amazing, what fantastic craftsmanship. It's a silly thing, but I really like the headstock, especially on your five-string. I trust they play as well as they look?
