This baby just got taken out of the shipping box and after a quick set up it's pretty sweet. I've never owned a Stingray before (I have the SBMM shorty...different animals) and the 2 band EQ is something to behold... Looks like I'll have to hunt down some rubber string mutes too.

Went to my local gear dispensory today to test drive some basses I was interested in, the Squier 60s CV Jass fretless and a Fender Player Precision with the Buttercream clothes on.

The fretless hit the "meh" button. The creamy Precision was kinda awesome and I was thinkin this might have a home with me.

But I looked once again at a Player Precision dressed in silver with a Pau Forget the name fret board. Instant bond, dunno if any of you know what thats like But it was music with first pluck, it just felt so right, so good.

So,

Here's my latest, greatest and most expensive one to date. A MIJ Fender jazz in silver/black paisley. Ive been wanting this since the first time I saw it online, but it was always sold out, as only 100 of em made it to the european market. A month or two ago I was checking my local shops website, and they suddenly had one in stock. I figured it was meant to be, as I live in a pretty small town, and it was the only one availible anywhere. I bought it then and there, and I love it to pieces. Cool huh. It works. I think Modulus did a similar thing but it makes sense. Why not use graphite stringers. I’m surprised we don’t see this more often.

I've been looking for a metallic blue T-20 for a long time. Great piece!

 

[Modulus 96]

I believe the Modulus necks are hollow. They only have wood where screws would go in, for example in the headstock for the tuners......

Edit: I forgot about the Genesis basses so you're right or whoever mentioned modulus doing a vigier-type thing was right.
