I have the same bass and mine also sports a gold PG now. I also swapped out the stock PU for a Dimarzio. But what really transformed it into my #1 was trading necks with a VM Jazz. Now the J with the P neck serves as my backup. I’m never one to change the bent plate bridge, but to each his own.

Seems like a pg would hide the Tele guitar pu route on either side of the neck-heal and also make the 5 pg screws make sense... just sayin'...

Love the look of that "weird" thing. Those Bronco necks are so smooth, have them on two parts-basses.

Fresh setup with the recently installed black Badass II + 45-105 DR Hi-Beams. Sperzels are my absolute favorite tuning key for bass guitars— installation was literally less than 3 minutes lol.
If you’ve been on the fence about giving an aluminum neck a try, I wholeheartedly recommend checking out Aluminati Guitar’s Andromeda necks. Shockingly resonant & lightweight. The carbon fiber fretboard gives it a more traditional feel.. and I can’t even begin to describe the clarity & attack this thing exudes.
I’m having a lot of fun with the Sadowsky preamp controls as well. I’ve not played an actual Sadowsky before but I’m tempted to seek one out now lol. Easy to dial in that tasty grunty midrange I’ve grown to love

Holy Cow those necks cost more than my bass - glad they don't make a five string version otherwise I'd be trying to find a way to get one.

Bet it does sustain for days. Had a Kramer DMZ5000 aluminum/ wood inlay neck
back in the day (apples 'n oranges). Didn't always want to stay in tune but sounded
fantastic (even w DiMarzio's). Looks like a solid player. Brass nut?

Sustain’s near infinite @ high volumes + a lil fuzz / OD / distortion.. snappy & super solid!!
It’s got a pretty hefty brass nut that’s even bolted on thru the back of the neck, via two small hex bolts.. crazy!
Kramers are a LOT of fun & my other full body aluminum bass needs warm up time before it comes back to being in tune. But the carbon fiber fretboard on this one seems to negate that sort of issue. Pretty wild stuff here
Finally gave this bass the knobs they deserve. Even though I might actually consider dropping an Audere system to help counterweight the neck since this body is stupid light (4lbs 3oz without neck!!)
Oh yeah I also gave it a new pick guard. Brown tort, resonates better for me than the original pepperoni tort that was on it.

Yeah I was going to suggest the CF might add stability but I know little past what my Q5
Carbon Graphite/ Phenolic offers. Amazed it Never needs tuning unless I've just beat the
tar out of it playing. Temp/ humdidity extremes seem to have no affect. Your brass thru is a
great idea. The Kramer's nut was understandably also aluminum. Give us an update after
the next gig. Enjoy.
Welp, the old medium scale jazz bass got some super cool new (old) tuners.
Another beautiful players' bass. I love the simplicity of a well appointed Fender style bass.
Tort is known to resonate better than pepperoni but doesn't fare well on pizza. Still gorgeous
and ties the bass together.

Agreed! Looking forward to swapping out the stock VM pickups for a set of Squier CV Alnico V’s I’ve ordered. Then we shall be in business before I ever decide to drop the cash on an Audere if the pickup doesn’t go as I hope.
