I have two Warwicks. I have a 2007 Corvette Standard 5 active, and I just got my 2008 Double Buck. Can I have a number please?

I really fell for the instrument's sound and feel; I was working at Guitar Center in Hollywood and we had a used 4 string Katana hanging in the bass area. I played it (and almost every other bass there) every day on lunch for a couple of weeks and just kept coming back to the Katana.

I ordered it with that finish because I just don't like the oiled, natural look much.

It took several months, but my baby finally arrived from Germany. It was a little darker than I thought it would be, but I got used to it. I have had a tuning machine issue with it, the factory-supplied straplock on the upper horn broke and the neck isn't as stable as it ought to be (meaning retuning every two or three songs throughout a set), but it has otherwise been a champ.

I have two beautiful Warwick basses. Here are some photos. I just got the $$ only a few days ago. They really fit me and my style well and produce in my opinion, the best tone and punch. I don't slap much on my Corvette Standard 5 much though. I use my Fender American Deluxe Jazz V for most of my slapping requirements because the string spacing is bigger. I am currently going to experiment with my Corvettes string spacing. I would love to be a member of this club. Could I have a number please?

I'll have to take a proper family pic when my '95 Thumb NT6 (Bubinga! Wenge!) arrives later this week.

BTW, has anyone else had neck and/or truss rod issues with theirs? My '03 Thumb BO 6 has slightly more relief on the bass side than the treble side, and also a slight "ski jump" to the fb on the bass side. This has been pretty much corrected by a fret level and re-crown, but for a bass that costs over 3k new, I really don't expect these issues. My $$ has a broken truss rod, and is currently at my local shop for evaluation. I was able to remove the fingerboard and truss rod myself, so hopefully a repair won't be too expensive. I wasn't all that impressed with the quality of the truss rod.

Both of these are tone monsters, though, and I hope to see somewhat better quality on the '95 neckthrough.

I assigned my own number, which I trust will not conflict with any existing numbers. ;) It's actually a nod to an old Rich Hall skit.

Got another 'Vette $$ 5 coming in. Nirvana Black. :)

currently own a natural finish $$ 5, but have always preferred the nirvana black.

I considered refinishing the natural to a walnut color, but haven't had the courage.

Anyway, a black one popped up in the classifieds and I went for it.
It's got some wear, but looks pretty good overall.

I plan on comparing the two.....keeping which ever I prefer and selling the other.

My natural one has been with me for quite a while......might be hard to top.
It's my go-to bass for most things.......I use it exclusively when recording.

Should be interesting....to say the least.

Just spent the past hour or so re establishing my love affair with my 2006 Wick "Dirty Blonde" LE Thumb BO.
Have had her buried in her case for a few months and forgot how flat out amazing she is!
There is just nothing out there like the Thumb.
It has the smallest and lightest Body and balances perfectly.
This bass is truly a keeper for life!!

She is a killer.
I THINK a traditional Thumb BO has two "J" Style pickups right?
I have not seen one in awhile.
If so, than yes I would guess they would be quite different with the tones the two basses produce.

This one has the "P" style pup and the "Double J " pup....which can also act a bit like a big ole fat humbucker as well.

I think Warwick out did themselves on this particular 2006 LE series...
I have owned 4 other wicks in the past and this is the one I kept...for a good number of reasons.

I have only seen one out there for sale, since buying this one in 2008. So guessing most people who have one are hanging onto theirs also :D

I've got a question for you guys. I have owned quite a few Warwicks, and still have a Pro Line 4. My question is this: Are there any models with thinner neck profiles? I enjoyed playing them, but with my hands not being more than medium sized, I ended up in pain when I'd play for extended periods of time. I mostly play 5ers, and that's a big part of the issue. The four bangers, I can deal with, but the necks on 5 stringers are generally too much for my to handle.
