I own an Mint in a wrapper 2006 wick dirty blonde.
The small black plate embedded in the back of the headstock says:

"LTD EDITION 2006"
"06/063"

So maybe his is #311?
Would have to assume mine is #63.

I THINK I recalled hearing there were 325 or 350 of these made?
Not sure? But I bet The guys at the Warwick forum would know for sure.

I recall someone saying there was 350. I just checked out Warwick's website...the official count is 320. -Luke

I've owned one Warwick prior to this Dirty Blonde. I had a '95 Fortress Masterman 5 that was absolutely stunning. I lost it when my house burned down. The Thumb is definitely different from the Masterman, but still has that Warwick bite to it. I've been very pleased with it thus far. I don't normally play 4 string, but I couldn't pass up this local deal. -Luke

I'm trying to decide between my workhorse '05 Corvette $$ 5 in natural (fat neck) and a '07 Corvette $$ 5 in black.

Both are great, the black sounds slightly brighter and has a slimmer neck profile.
The natural has been with me a while, little fatter and rounder....plus an ultra fat neck...which I love.

The hanging point is that I bought the black one because I prefer the look...I've alway hated the look of the natural one, even though I love how it plays and sounds.

Any wisdom?

Official numbers were given of by Daywalker, but he seems to be MIA (missing in action------>not made in America). Not sure whose doing it now, but there seems to be a good bunch of us without numbers.

I was looking thru warwicks YT page and there official website page and found two contradicting information on how far out you cut your strings past the tuning machine. The video claims 8cm past the tuning machine whilst the manual claims 12cm. Which ones the "correct" one, if there is one at all? Here's the link to both of them.

Congrats, but its not #6 out of 311, the 6 stands for 2006 as in the year of the model, 311 is the number of basses in the series. Everybodies 4 string dirty blonde says 6/311.

on every limited edition (save the pnut and some early ones), the number has been the year in single digit and the production number of your bass.

6/311 = built in 2006 / number of your bass

I don't think there's really a "correct" method, save whatever your preference is. Generally, you'll want to have 3 winds on the tuning peg, but since there are different width tuning pegs, you can probably get away with more or less, provided the string stays put.

Correct across the board. My P-Nut II is "20/56", which is 20 out of 56. But my other LTD basses I have owned has "year/production #". Feel free to check out my profile for my past basses.
