I was just on the WARWICK Forum and saw that the TOP Bass for >$2500 was the Streamer Stage 2, or SS2, and the the 3rd best bass between $1500 - $2500 was the Corvette NT $$.:hyper::hyper::hyper:

Here's my Latest Acquisitions to the Hardwood Herd:

1st up is a 1997 Streamer Stage II. I think the pics speak for themselves...

Next up is the "Mid-Priced" bass of Choice from Warwick. This is my 2007 Corvette NT $$. Warwick used words like "Offensive" and "Aggressive" in their $ales Brochure. Now I see why! :bassist:

Nice basses!! Amazing how even though I have a SS2 4 string as well, I'm still jealous! That NT 'vette is a beaut as well. I've always wanted to try one of those out. Enjoy them!

As I'm Jealous of Yours! :help:

I'm curious though about the Non-Volute Necks on the 4-Str SS2. Is that a Carry Over of the Pre-94 necks, or is it a New Design, or ??? I got the SS2 yesterday and was AMAZED that it was Non-Voluted. (Is Voluted a Word?:hiding:)

Off to enjoy them now!

I don't know if you all give out numbers or not, but however it works, sign me up for the Warwick Club because I just got the bass of my dreams today! A gorgeous 1995 Thumb, thanks to a fantastic fellow TBer (I can't thank you enough shizoz!)! I've been pining for a Thumb since, oh, 1987 or so. Based upon the first hour of playing and looking at this beauty, it was well worth the 24 year wait - my terrible cell phone pics do not do it justice. I think I'm in love... Woohoo! Thumb2s.jpg

The newest is the fretless Thumb I just can’t stop playing it. Took a while to find all these...

Streamer Stage II with Bartolini pickups and Bartolini MTNB 918 preamp

Thumb NT 5 Fretless w/maple lines and LED’s 1994 (killer 18 volt MEC Pre)

Thumb NT 5 all stock 1995 (killer 18 volt MEC pre) (yes fret markers are stickers)

Corvette Jazzman stock 2005 (yes 12th fret thingy is a sticker)

Not pictured is my Wic 4/11 pro cab with a Tubepath 10.1 sitting on it keeping that 98Lb cab from floating away

Gorgeous collection of some VERY fine 'Wicks!!! The Dirty Blonde came in the mail yesterday and I'll have to get some new family shots up in the next day or two.

how do they sound?

Those are balanced strings, not too bright, with nice lows and mids. I´ve only tried ´em on my Infinity and like ´em. They are kinda sticky at first feel, but you get used to it. And they have lasted me like 4-5 months with the same "initial tone".

To be honest, those Auroras are my first coated strings ever (I´ve been using Blue Steels for many years) so I can´t compare them to DRs, or others.

Hope that helps.
