i agree black hardware looks 10 times better. i hated the gold.
i payed 15 euro for everything. i live in ireland so dont get screwed wit vat and heavy shipping. best thing to do is if you have a friend in europe post to them. then get them to post stuff to you. writing on it that is only worth 15 euro(so you dont have to pay vat) or something. anyways thats what i do when ordering stuff from the State. maybe it will work the other way around?
guess your probably gettin screwed on the weak dollar too.

It works great, after the strings have been "run-in" it stays is in tune no matter what. I don't use it a lot, mostly on mild vibration with harmonics or chords etc. Or massive divebombs, it is capable for over an octave movement :bassist: Whack an open E with a power chord, use some heavy distortion, divebomb and make the guitarists weep :D It is a "floating" tremolo, so you can change the pitch either higher or lower. It is a great tool to have if you don't overdo it.

It will snap strings though if used heavily (G-string usually gives up in a month if you really use the tremolo a lot, haven't snapped a single string in over a year now...), due to the steep angle that the string goes over the roller (saddle) of the bridge. When you use the trem the string will "roll" on the saddle, and the point of the angle on the string will move. Metal will fatique and eventually the string will snap. I have another with forward-rollers, and the angle isn't nearly as steep -> no strings snapping. On heavy slapping the string might pop off the roller on that one though.

I highly recommend those Kahlers, they are great. Very sturdy and confidence-inducing construction. Even if you don't use it that much it is still a great bridge, and a nice tool to have. Great sustain, fully adjustable... and heavy. You can even adjust the tension of the springs on the trem with a hex key.

not sure if anyone saw this auction on ebay, but since it didn't sell, i got a line on it...it's a '92 streamer with the body dimensions and electronics configuration of a streamer stage II, but the woods and construction of a streamer stage I...so, it's basically a maple ssII with no inlays or call it a neck through lx...and black hardware, too, which i think looks better than gold...looks really interesting...what do you guys think?
