Yep. I don't know why he's not a lot more famous or why he only seems to get relatively small supporting roles.

He's different. He'll drone on for minutes on a joke that doesn't go anywhere. I won't say it's humor that goes over anyone's head but I kinda get why he's not more famous. He cracks me up though.

Some people like the freedom of taking smaller roles. I'm sure he has his retirement $$$ set, and although he may have a few less zeros in his bank account, he does what he wants, and he never made a "Toys", or an Adam Sandler movie.

When he's in one of his "droning" modes, I get the impression that he's actually two people in the same body, speaking at the same time. Sort of like he's a split personality with both of them trying to get their message out. I think he's comic genius.

It's unfortunate that his character on The Orville is a CGI blob. A lot of Norm's talent is in his visual delivery. I think it's strange that so many of his roles now are just voice characters.

I know that it's a kids' cartoon, but his guest character "Norm, The Genie" on The Fairly Oddparents was hilarious.

Yes, he most definitely was! One of the first of the new "guest star" Colonels, IIRC. And undoubtedly the creepiest Col. Sanders of the bunch. But he does leave an impression.

Dirty Work. One of my favorite films from a long time ago, solely based on Norm McDonald more or less being himself. The Orville needs a full 'blob' episode.
