How's the truss rod nut look? Stripped?Good morning fellow Pedulla players!
WARNING - there is a Thunderbass listed in the used section at Guitar Center (zebra wood top) ...
The truss rod was perfect - that was the first thing I checked. Then I went to plug it in and saw all the body damage. How's the truss rod nut look? Stripped?
Sorry - I didn't get alerted to your question. It's still available. Is this MVP still available?

Ohp! Found it on reverbsorry, I can't seem to find the Craigslist listing now
Ooo...a Pedulla club! Can I join? I recently found this '98 Rapture JJ fretless on CL, & I asked the owner if he would consider a straight across trade for a MINT Fender Jaco signature Artist model. Guess what he said...

At some point in the near future I'm going to swap the pickguard with a blue one that I'll make myself from a blank. I'm also interested to know if anyone has swapped the original Bart pre for a John East Uni? I would love a mid control (esp sweepable).
Thanks,
Eric

Thunderbolt 5 - 1993, Blue
Thunderbass 5 - 1994, AAA Maple
Thunderbass 6 - 1993, AAA Maple
Thunderbass 6 - 1994, Teal
Thunderbolt 5 - 1994, Red
All have original Bartolini pickups with Aguilar OBP-3, except the red one is all original.
I may be selling the red one, and hope to find one more Thunderbass 5.
Only the blue 5 had an OBP-3 in it when I got it in 2021, I like it so much I had the other 3 done in the past month. They all play great, but wasn't happy with the sound.
Finally they are all together for a family photo. Overall, the blue Thunderbolt 5 is my favorite, most beat up, most gigged, and the reason I've been looking for other Pedullas since then.
Cheers.
I had some problems with CraigsList. Here it is: [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]Ohp! Found it on reverb

Was that the one on reverb?
the 2 chips on the front of the bass can be repaired with some fingernail polish (assuming you can find one that matches, you might have to combine a couple different reds to try to match the color). It won't be perfect but will def look better. I've repaired a few chips like that over the years with fingernail polish & if needed some CA (superglue) on top (& then sanded & buffed if it sticks out too much).Hi all, just got my first Pedulla. It's a 1994 Thunderbass that had been abused and needed a lot of TLC. Had a new truss rod installed, a headstock crack repair, a small finish crack around the controls where it looked like it was either dropped or thrown. I did some re-wiring and simplifying of the Bartolini electronics and it roars! Very happy w/ it and lots of mojo. Was only $850 because of the damage, so I feel like I got a pretty good deal on it.
