DA XL170's....
For flats, I like LaBella 760FL; I find TI's too floppy.
Chef: What strings do you have on your PJ? I'm really on the fence about rounds vs. flats.
For What it's worth, I also have a PJ, so I'll chime in as well. I use D'addario Nickel rounds on mine and it sounds wonderful. That bass has a very responsive tone knob, so If I need to take out bite/zing I can roll off the tone and it sounds smooooooth.
Man do I love that bass.

so i played my new 5L for the first time and i was pretty blown away by the tone. Definitely nice and mellow. It's a great compliment to my spector...totally different sound. The B string is amazing...nice a warm, not overly aggressive like most B strings.
anyone ever tried chromes on a 5L?
