Take the pick guard off and try to work the superglue from the back side. The problems you'll encounter are:

1) Getting the pieces to fall back together correctly.
2) Getting glue into the joint .
3) Keeping glue off hte visible back surface.

Take your time. Break out the glue ONNLY after you've worked the parts and understand how they're going to react to your manipulating them.

These basses can be satisfactorily repaired with a little patience and a little thought before doing things. Below are pics of my early fish as received and after my home brew repair. Yes, you can see a line, but it's solid and very acceptable to me. It's a keeper.

SIT are good. I've got D'addario 1/2 rounds on one of my 4-Banger Fish. I actually like the Feel! Sound is a little deep, but still has a nice touch of ring/brightness. I have Elixirs on another Fish. They ROCK!

I just put some chromes on my P/J and man it was like my fish was made for these strings. The chromes seem to enhance all the yummy goodness that characterize these fish. Although, the XLs that were on there were awesome as well.

I never get tired of seeing that one. Or the '51 P/J of yours

I would take you up on that offer but unfortunately my avatar bass and I parted ways. The neck was a little strange and I didn't dig the double DS. I would opt for a single DS if I got another one. Also, it didn't give the hollow vibe i was hoping for. (Sold a Lakland HoBo for it...I shouldn't have). I believe that LeCompte is on its way to Malaysia by way of thelowend. The bass that replaced it was a Valenti P/J 5 which makes me :hyper:

Excellent condition Reverend 5 string Rumblefish Bass. Red with gold pickguard, circa 1998-1999, Hand signed by Joe Naylor as #17, USA made, 21 fret. It is a sweet player, and lightweight with a solid sound. Original hard shell black and white case included. Cash only.
