I said it reminded me of a bait and switch meaning he generated interest in the bass by listing it with no reserve and no opening bid and then switched it to a high buy it now only. It just didn't seem right that once several bids were made to cancel the auction. You are right, we all make mistakes, but there are also consequences for those mistakes and I feel like you should have left it up for auction. If it is worth as much as you think it is, then there should have been no problem in getting $1099 or more for it at auction. I am not a huge fan of e-bay anyway, especially after getting ripped of by a seller a few years ago on a Christmas gift for my son. E-bay did SQUAT!! I never got the gift or my money back. E-bay does FAR too much for the seller and FAR too little to protect the buyer. This whole auction relisting is just another example of going too far for the seller and screw the buyer. We have no rights.

I'm going back to delete my posts that relate to the ebay thing.

That ain't what this thread is about; or at any rate what I think it should be about.
If y'all want to carry on about that topic, I'd personally appreciate it if you did it in a different thread.

It's a Reverend Owners Club (and wanna-be's!) thread.

And I, personally, would rather keep it that way.

I really don't want to read about, or participate in, an ebay seller bashfest-whether it's justified or not.

I'm sure this isn't a threat that will bother anyone much, but keep it up, and lose my participation in this thread. There's a whole great big forum out there. Please keep this one on point, and feel free to start another one for...whatever else you want.

I'm sure me signing off will break all your lil ole hearts;)

Greetings from the North,

Part of Fishin is a little frustration. There will always be the ones that got away, for what ever reason. And this one shouldn't be enough to get us chewin on each other. Lines get tangled and mistakes are made. Ya just cut the lines and Fish another day. There's more out there.

Hey Chef....don't leave. It wouldn't be the same ;)

+1. And now back to the fun part we can all enjoy -- new 'fish porn!

My "new-to-me" Reverend PJ/JJ, which came to me courtesy of FL_Knifemaker, who got it from Shamrock&roll, who got it from 4mal who lives nearby. It's back in the Northwest where it belongs. :p I'm going to keep it as a P/J for the foreseeable future though I did buy a black JJ pickguard from Reverend to have should I ever want to switch it back to JJ mode.

I have one heckuva great wife. She not only indulges me, but even earns all the money as well. :D She was the best choice of all. :hyper:

The basses are compensation for my "job," which is stay-at-home dad for a child with special needs. :hmm:

Yes, it is probably Too Hot. I have a DiMarzio PAF Humbucker for bass that tipped the meter at 9.5, and an old Rick Pup was 7 even. Did some comparisons just to make sure the meter was reading correctly. Looks like this Pup is going SOLO! (And maybe NOT in a Reverend...):spit:

In appreciation of The Reverend Bass, I got up early this morning, slinked down into my bassment, plugged my Black XL into my Line-6 XT Live, popped some head phones, and played my heart out between 5:30 - 6:30am this morning...

What I didn't realize is that I left my amp on last night. Since I had headphones on I didn't know that the Line-6 was wired Effects In to my rig. There was PLENTY of SOUND coming out of my rig. I was greeted by a Less than appreciative wife, although she DID bring me some coffee. And she looks pretty cute when she's both Sleepy & Angry...:D

Well, I'm the only Kid in the house!:smug:

Last night was pretty cool too. I dressed as The Scarecrow, and The Mrs. was Dorothy. We live on a SLOWER street, so I got bored and started out working out with my 6-Foot Staff (Bo to those in the Know), and then I broke out my acoustic Bass, and sat next to the Jack-0-Lanterns on the porch, and started playing some old Sabbath, Misfits, and other SCARIER tunes. A group of 5 - 6 year olds come up to the porch, "TRICK OR TREAT!", so I set the bass down, and handed out the Treats. The littlest kid asks me "Mr Scarecrow, were just playing Iron Man?". I was actually coming out of the Solo, so this kid Knew his Sabbath! I said "Yes, I was...You will go FAR in Life Young Man!" The dad just shook his head in disbelief, and started walking away...Just goes to show you that CLASSIC music appeals to those from 5 to 50 years of age!
