Back from work; nice long sweaty 2 hour outdoor set.
The red-face 350 and Henry 8x8 are a match, fershure.

1) didn't know lava was aluminium, not formica...!
2) Matrok's setup is a bear! bout wore me out! a little more relief than I like had the strings real high. didn't have time to mess with this cause I had to go straight from work-where it was shipped to-to the venue for a 6pm show...
3) new elixirs don't seem to be the same plastic coated junk i remember
4) taking the bow outta the neck put the action 'bout where i like it
5) great bass!
6) and maybe a tad brighter than Blue or Blackwood, who are both formica

I love the Lava Swirl tops. They're different looking from different angles and in different lights. If you look close up, they look blurry from the brushed aluminum, but they get sharp from a couple feet away.

Glad you finally scored one. :cool:

FWIW, my new favorite strings for Reverends are Infeld Superalloys.
