Huh...I would have expected higher numbers based oon how much output the 5L has...

thanks for posting those!

soooooo....did you switching wiring for "bridge single coil?"

I suspected higher #'s as well, could very well be user error. :p
I plan to check my other 5L's & will report back.

Can't do the switch without someone showing me how to do it!
I have what's called "a Pea Brain" & there's only so much room in there.

I'd call/email Joe Naylor, and ask for a schematic and an explanation of what to do.

I know one or two guys here have done it, and like the results. If someone reading this knows the how to, post it up!

I've never been under the hood on one of these, but it's really got to be about as simple as swapping a couple wires at the switch. It might be explanatory upon examination...

I don't own a Reverend bass, although I do own a Reverend guitar. But does anyone here know if they are entertaining the idea of introducing some new basses? I missed the boat because I hadn't started playing bass when they discontinued making them. It would be nice to have Reverend as an option for new basses.

matrok: where yer info from?
the rev forums?

are they gonna make my club king bass?

(i'm squinting my eyes shut, and all my fingers are crossed)

.... I ended up buying a set of Chromes and I'll install them this weekend. I've used and liked the TI's previously but that was on a fretless bass. As you surmised, they might indeed be a bit floppy on the Rev. I tend to dig in a bit from time-to-time so that wouldn't be the best match for my fingerstyle.

Long Scale was the only size they had and wouldn't you know it? Too short!! I didn't realize that there was a "Super Long Scale" DOH!! Now I've opened the package. :(

We need a Smilie with a dunce cap on.

How are they too short? I bought a set of regular length Daddarios xl something or others. They all fit except the B string. It tapered down 1/4 inch before the nut. I just put a piece of toothpick under it. It's going on 4 months now without a problem.

New Basses.......

That's what my guy told me. He said he's working up a short scale bass first. I mentioned the Club King for Chef, and he just smiled and said it'll happen

Get! Out!

Are they gonna be bound gold tops, with P-90-esque pickups?

Man, that'd be like a major holiday for me.

Club King Day.

Burger King could make a commemorative sandwich;)

Black PJ: Link Removed

Black 5L: Link Removed

Not mine. I sent my list of currently FS stuff to see about the black PJ but don't expect anything to come of it (I can dream until I get the reply).

Good fishing . . .
