Just when I thought I was out of GAS.
What I love about rev, is the fact that they can produce a quality new instrument on par or better than major brands for under $1500.
Looking at Dingwall, Lakland, SBMM etc here.
Great additions to the line up. Sweetwater have some good pictures up of them too. The weight of the Decision P and Merc is insane...around 8lbs.

I imagine the Rev will look amazing in the flesh and on stage. Great to see that it's added to the regular line up and not a shop exclusive.

I don't have hands on experience with the Triad but here's a review by Lobster which should give you a pretty good idea of what the Triad is all about…
Both short scale, the Sentinel is basically a P Bass and the Wattplower has more tonal options. I beleive the Wattplower comes with a hard case too
Unfortunately WattPlower does not come with a case, needs to be purchased separately and it runs around $220+/- That's a bummer.
I can't speak to the other Rev models but the WattPlower has bumped my MM Stingray HH to the backup position. It absolutely thumps, so light and easy to play, and very useable tones in all three PU positions.

If you don't need a lot of variety in your tone, and/or never use the neck PU and are generally happy with P/reverse P(-ish) tones, the first gen model would be more than sufficient.

My Fellowship is here! I have totally failed to take any photos or videos of it but I have played it quite a bit and already written something cool on it.
Had a chance to play a Decision and a Sentinel today.
As a WattPlower II owner the Sentinel was too close to it to be interesting to me, and maybe it wasn't set up to my liking but didn't feel as good. Don't get me wrong, it was really good but feel-wise didn't wow me, likely due to the similarity. Plugged in it sounded sweet. Nice tones through all the PU selector options.
The Decison, though, was phenomenal. Perfect set up, killer tones, very comfortable neck up and down. Very easy player. Really blown away by it. I kept going back to it after messing around with other stuff. Sounded real good plugged in. I'm no expert as to how accurate it is to either P or J basses but I didn't care, it was just a pleasure to play and hear.
I have a Stingray Special HH which I love so I am reluctant to try a Mercalli. If that model is as nice as the other Revs I've played the Stingray may be looking for a new home. Since the WattPlower showed up I rarely play the Stingray much anymore.
Something about the neck shape and width up towards the headstock just feels so natural for my hand.
Gotta say, every Reverend, guitar or bass, I've tried has been heads above many other brands for just being so playable right off the wall in the store and not needing any major set up. I have paid more money for Fender/Gibson/PRS etc and always had to do something to them and never completely satisfied. I've yet to try a Reverend I couldn't hit the stage or studio with instantly and be happy.
