just a quiet heads up, but it looks like the rumblefish 5L that is on its way to me from a trade is going to be quickly up for sale. Financially, it is just not going to fit in and I need the cash for it. PM me if any of you guys are interested.

Trevis, I've owned at least a dozen basses . . . the Reverend is the first bass that's made me go out and buy another one of the same brand. That's gotta say something. Even now as prices start to rise, they are still a stupid good deal.
You're in the same boat as a lot of other fishermen.![]()
I'll have another one, all in good time I agree. My 4 string Fish was the bass I regret the most for selling. I still kick myself in the assI'll have another one, all in good time

Excellent, Chef! That is exciting. Nice-lookin' 5L.
I don't even play 5-strings, but you guys are givin' me G.A.S. with all your recent acquisitions. And, there's that black one with the maple board down in the classifieds.![]()

I've tried it.. just couldn't get used to the B string. Among several 5- and 6-strings I've owned was Reverend 5L #19, green with a gold pickguard. It was a beauty, and I did record with it, so I've got a permanent reminder of how great it sounded!Dave; You need a 5 string!
I very seldom use the "pedal tones," but you'll find that you can make a lot of difficult passages easier by plaing them in closed positions now. Also, you can move everything to different places on the fingerboard: less shifting.
Lastly, you can shift everything down one string, and up a 5th, and voila, same notes on a bigger string: fatter more solid tone!
Add me to the list of guys wanting one...a 4string please.
