I like the orange. When I first got my 5L, I really wanted a 69 Orange PJ to go with it, but fell into the bugeye and couldn't pass it up. Love them retro colors.

Aw Jeez, why'd you have to post that? I never noticed the pup spacing on JJ4's was differnt than on the JJ 5L...
Now I'm gonna have to get a JJ 4 at some point just to see how much deeper it sounds...
The 5 is pretty dang deep already.

FWIW, I have the same White Rumblefish, and my drummer has a Black XL 4-Banger. The XL has the same controls as the 5L. His XL is as deep as a 5L, and the STD Rumblefish is kinda Tin-ey in comparison...Especially with the Toggle in the DOWN Position on the XL...I don't recall if the Pup spacing was different or not...

IIRC, the XL p/u config for a 4 is the same as the jj 4. The RL5 is closer and more bridge oriented. Hey MA! Why don't you get that black xl4 and trade me for the blue RL5! drummer has no business w/ a fish anyways!

While I'm at it ... When I opened up the J I found the same cavity that is in the PJ. SO swapping from a J to a PJ would be cake.

Ya know, that cavity is damned near big enough for a Dark Star... it would need a little widening but not all that much. Say 3/th's inch. Maybe the rear cavity but with the poles oriented neckwards ? Any of you photshop gus out there can handle that for us ?

No, but I scored this Blue Rocco from the Reverend site!

2003 Racing Stripe Rocco, sandblasted racing stripe on brushed blue aluminum front and back,silver mist pickguard. Volume, tone, bass contour, 3-way selector, kill button, phase switch, USA neck, Sperzel locking tuners. One of the earliest racing stripe guitars, which is a very rare finish. Used as Reverend's in-house amp testing guitar, electronics upgraded/modded by Reverend. Unique and cool part of Reverend history. Recently set-up, excellent used condition, not warrantied.

Should have it in a few days!
