To tell the truth I don't really care about the inlays that much.

I have been waiting for years for them to make 5 string basses.

Their first two attempts at making 5 string basses were flawed. So I figured out how to convert 4 string Rics into 5 string Rics and to build my own 5 string basses.

So I figured out how to convert 4 string Rics into 5 string Rics and to build my own 5 string basses.

Maybe this is a dumb question or maybe it's been asked a thousand times, but how do you pluck with that toaster oven over the pickup?!

I love the look of Rics, but have yet to try one in person. Is it easy enough to pluck with that in the way?

If I do finger picking, I rest the outer palm on the cover, you could use it that way if using a pick.

You undo the pickup surround screws, unscrew the PU, take off the PU cover and put it to one side so you can put it back on if you ever sell it.

Mine has been in a drawer since 1975
