Thanks! I know how you feel, I missed this bass awfully over the years. I even bought another mid 80's Ric to fill the void but it had a chunky thick neck that I just couldn't get used to and I sold it.

I wish I knew how to do that, I'm not terribly computer savvy. Oh and it's a Mesa/Boogie 400 (not +), basically the same but half the wattage (I think).

I just bought the Mesa Walkabout Scout 12 so I'd have two rigs to run the Ric-O-Sound!! If I can figure out how to post a sound clip I will

They both are an improvement IMO. I got the aluminum because it was the only one available on ebay at the time. Call Hipshot and they will tell you the tone differences between the two.

I did an online price check/comparison and bought mine off ebay from a music store/dealer. Got it like 3 days later IIRC.

That all black one is very sexy, is it a custom work? I wish it didn't have a maple fretboard but the dot inlays don't look too bad.
