hi,can i get a number ,i,ve got a 99 4003 jetglo.this is my second one and will not part with this one.my first one was 79 which was the darkest blue colour almost black.wished i still had it but more than happy with this one.absence makes the heart grow fonder.yeah they are special.the only thing that sounds like one is another one.

the 4003 is strung with d'addario nickel (105-45) and the 4001v63 with labellas 760fl (already broken in). gain was always the same and the playing position was between the two pickups. all controls were fully opend

Isn't that a great etching job? That work was done up in San Francisco at an art college for RIC by Paul Wilczynski, as a subcontract job for John Hall of RIC. RIC did not have the in-house capability to do that kind of laser work, and Paul did in his school shop, where he teaches. Paul is also manufacturing the acoustic guitar line for RIC now, his guitars all come with the legitimate Rickenbacker TRC, courtesy of a licensing agreement with RIC.

I liked these DCM models a lot, and you have a beautiful bass there, Lowendblues! I liked them so much, I bought one each of the three guitar models and two of the 4003 models in the DCM 75th anniversary lines.

That finish needs bright stage lights or sunlight to really look good - regular incandescent lights do not do the finish justice and it is hard to photograph it with a regular flash.

Thanks Elys. I miss your post's over at the RRF. My handle over there is "Cheyenne".

I could have picked up the whole DCM "suite" as well. In hindsight, I sure wish I would have.

Hmm. No number yet,,,,,, How about these?

I've sold off most of my collection, just because I wasnt playing them., and I dont like to hoard nice basses. One of the notables was the CII in transparent red that was used in all the RIC photo's and literature. I was the original owner. Then there was one of the first Blueburst 4003's ,,,,,,the one pictured happens to be the NAMM model that year. And then theres some other nice examples...................can I please join the club?
